Disaster Relief Laundry Unit

In May of 2012 our Association designated the Liberty Local Missions Offering for the development of a Disaster Relief Mobile Laundry Unit.  Despite the fact that the Kentucky Baptist Convention has around 50 DR response units they did not have a Laundry Unit.  The Development Team for this unit worked together for 3 months to design and build this response unit. Although the primary purpose of the unit is to respond to disasters our hope is that offering practical help in these times of need will provide a platform to offer spiritual hope through the sharing of the Good News of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection.  When the unit is not deployed for disaster response our Association is eager for the unit to be used in a variety of other ministry contexts. In partnership with Kentucky BCMs (Baptist Campus Ministries) we have taken the unit onto college campuses throughout our state to be used as a tool for college ministries to serve and connect with other students.
